Andrew Abarca

President

Year: Senior

Major: International Studies and Spanish

Hometown: Vernon Hills, IL

Why ALAS?:  Growing up in a town where my culture was not taught or avocated for, made me never allowed me to see the social problems that Latin@ face in society today. HALO (ALAS) was an organization that gave me the expierence and knowledge I need to combat and become educated with these issues. Not only was ALAS able to teach me but it also help me create close connects with people on campus and develop long lasting friendships
